In this text i will write about my very first impressions with Microsoft’s new OS – Windows 7 and simple tutorial how to remove anoying “Send Feedback” links and also Windows Beta Watermark, which is, i must be honest, ugly.
First of all, first Windows 7 impressions
Few weeks ago, i downloaded Windows 7 x64 Beta from official Microsoft download page.
I started install process on my brand new computer (Q6600, 4GB RAM, ATi HD4850) and it went very well.
Next, how about some drivers, codecs and programs that i usually use? OK, no problem!
Hm, problems with my network! Win7 doesnt recognize my network adapter so i ran installation of Vista driver, and it started working, and it still working… ![]()
I downloaded BETA ATi Catalyst driver from ATi’s official support page, installed – everything works great.
What about sound drivers for my GA-EP43-DS3 motherboard (Realtek HD Audio)? Problems! Damn!
Theres no good Win7 support from Realtek/GA so i just installed my old, dusty, SB Audigy! and windows installed drivers in a few seconds, automatically, and i got my sound running.
OK, driver section cleared, now, how about some codecs? I downloaded K-Lite Codec Pack, installed, everything worked just fine.
No problems with programs, too, everything worked cool, like: MSN, ICQ, Skype, GTalk, Firefox, Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver CS3 etc.
I must admit, Win7 is using less system resources than Vista! Just look at the picture:
As far as i remember Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 was @3.20GB of RAM and CPU was @10% all time!
That was my first, very first, impression of Win7 x64, and here is a screenshot of my desktop:
I promised that i will post a tutorial for removing anoying “Send Feedback” links and Windows Beta Watermark, so:

For start, lets remove watermark!
